How Does Radio Frequency Work and Who is a Candidate for Treatment?

Radio frequency is an FDA-approved, noninvasive technology that can be used to treat deep wrinkles and rejuvenate face jowls and neck laxity as well as other body areas. Skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as the appearance of light damage, can be reduced with this intelligent energy delivery that is applied to the skin with virtually no pain or discomfort.

During the treatment, a deep heat feeling is noted with cooling of the skin that leaves the patient without pain while the handpiece is controlled by staff at Riverview. Generally, patients between the ages of 25 to 75 who desire improved appearance within common treatment areas of the face, under chin and jaw areas of the neck and other bodily areas including arms and legs are candidates. Two to three treatments are generally required about two to three weeks apart depending on the treatment region and goals of each patient.

Exilis (Radio Frequency)

Exilis is one type of radio frequency technology that causes fat resorption in deeper layers of the skin with contraction as well as new collagen formation in the skin that is treated. We specialize in the neck and face and offer treatment for other bodily areas affected with unwanted laxity and fat deposits by the staff at Riverview. This technology can be used as a nonsurgical substitute while also being used prior or following surgery to improve or maintain surgical results. This can be especially helpful following weight loss or for patients with mild weight gain.
